Greetings! I'm Francesc Fort, and I would love to invite all the community to A Wikimedia event to be celebrated Wednesday, October 20th. It is organized by the Modern Arts Museum in Valencia, Institut Valencià d'Art Modern. It is dedicated to Spanish Republican artist Josep Renau, who exiled in México and the DDR after the end of the Spanish Civil War. That's why we want to invite the communities of the countries that welcomed him to improve the content on his life and works.
I'm in contact with WMDE, and if there is people interested, we can make a small campaign with the list of article we plan to work locally in an edit-a-thon (if any of you lives near Valencia, or somewhere in the Iberian peninsula and wants to join, we will welcome they!). We can translate the page into German and make a little edition contest. The museum can provide some small awards (such digital content) and also free entrance to the museum or exhibition in case anyone visits our city in the nearby future. Also, and thanks to the museum's library, we can provide digitized reference books, some of which are in German language (which, unfortunatelly, nobody in our local community will be able to use).
Receive a warm hug from the Catalan and Spanish editing communities and if anybody is interested to join us in this journey, we will provide materials and wikilove to make it as warm as if we could have an inperson event.
